We met in Eindhoven in 2012, and married in 2015. We are, before anything else, a couple — and our shared life has always embraced a shared practice, the two growing together rather than one giving way to the other. The curiosity, trust, and care for each other that defines who we are is the same thing that shows up in everything we build. Between Eindhoven and Lisbon, our work spans cultural governance, community building, digital strategy, and heritage hospitality — the natural breadth of two people who have never separated living from making.
Designer by training, born in Portugal. Jorge settled in Eindhoven in 2007 — and never left. What stayed from design is not the aesthetic but the method: the ability to read a system, understand how it works, and reimagine how it could. That instinct moved naturally from objects to organisations, from spaces to structures, from the drawing board to the boardroom. Being Portuguese in a Dutch system gave him something useful: close enough to care deeply, just far enough to see it whole. He thinks in architecture. He builds in governance.
Early in his career, Rick worked at the Efteling — not just a theme park but a Stichting, living proof that wonder and social mission can be the same thing. That model stayed with him. In 2015, as a school concierge in Eindhoven, his proximity to local families gave him something most entrepreneurs never get: a direct, daily read on what was missing. He built for that. A kitchen, ten children, and a first experiment in what an experience could do for a child that a classroom could not. That experiment has not stopped since.
Formally operating as Alves Lino-de Wit Enterprises B.V. — the holding through which Jorge and Rick's shared entrepreneurial ventures are structured.
